  • This is a PC basic skills course.

  • The goal of the UNM COP PCL is to develop pharmacy professionals who are adept and passionate about improving patient health outcomes through education and clinical care in all practices of pharmacy.

  • The goal of this program is to provide relevant and timely instruction in becoming a more effective preceptor. The traits of an effective preceptor are discussed as well as tips on effective feedback and evaluation.  The overall purpose is to remind you of the techniques needed to become a a better preceptor.

    Note that this program is not intended to address your clinical skills but more to improve the methods in which you pass those skills to the pharmacists of tomorrow.

  • The goal of Part II of this program is to provide more information to assist you in becoming a more effective preceptor. This section addresses learning and teaching styles and how to integrate learning into your daily practice.  Tips on setting professional expectations for pharmaciy students are provided.  Dealing with the difficult learner can be a challenge, learn some hints for success.  The overall intention of this section is to provide you with information you may have overlooked in setting up a student rotation.

  • It is important that you have learned the basic concepts presented in your introductory/prerequisite courses. Understanding of molecular and cellular biology, anatomy and physiology, and basic genetics is essential for any detailed understanding of abnormalities and phatophysiology. These questions represent information you should remember from your prerequisite courses. You have four attempts on this test. I will average in your highest score for total points in the class

  • This pre-module for Pharmacy 706 presents basic biochemistry concepts within the context of the important and prevalent disease of diabetes. It is an interactive module with and exam and questions embedded in the reading.
